Engage with career development topics in your Junior year through a required Professional Development course. You will learn how to articulate your unique skills; share your career story in ways that resonate with employers and graduate schools; learn how to navigate the job market and graduate school applications; build your financial literacy; and develop tools for lifelong career development. Experience skill growth and clarity on professional goals through a Professional Development Experience (PDE) that relates to your future career path. This is not your average internship!

Instead, all Wesleyan students complete an experiential learning opportunity, in which they gain relevant experience and build professional skills. You will pursue an experience that best fits your career goals, such as independent research projects, professor-led research, performance projects, or leadership projects. Of course, many of our students opt for an internship with an employer.
