CAMPUS POLICE OFFICER
Wesleyan College is accepting applications for a Police Officer. Our campus police force protects the lives and properties of the Wesleyan College Community. Officers are required to respond professionally to the need for detection and prevention of crimes. Officers must be prepared to maintain law and order. Officers are required to patrol the entire campus property by vehicle, and some by foot. Officers duties also include traffic enforcement, accident reporting, and criminal investigations. Officers are expected to secure physical structures on the campus, and maintain an activity log daily. Officers will provide security at social and athletic events, conduct safety inspections, control and direct traffic, enforce college rules and regulations, issue parking citations, and enforce the law governing the state and other duties as defined by supervisors.
Job Qualifications: Candidates must be twenty-one years of age, and have a valid driver’s license. All applicants must be certified through the Georgia Peace Officers Standard and Training Council. Must be in good physical condition, and able to work any shift. Must be able to handle stressful situations, be an effective communicator, and able to pass a pre-admission test administered by the Wesleyan Police Department, as well as a physical agility test consisting of push-ups, sit-ups, bench press 185 lbs, and 1 mile run. Financial Aid Assistant
Wesleyan College seeks a Financial Aid Assistant to provide administrative support to the Financial Aid Department. This is a highly visible position with extensive interaction with students, parents, faculty, and staff. The Financial Aid Assistant will be responsible for assisting students and parents in the financial aid application process, assisting the Financial Aid Director in the financial aid verification process and various aid programs. The successful candidate will posses an associate’s degree, with a minimum of one year of financial aid/bursar office experience, preferably at a private institution; the ability to gain an understanding of federal and state statues, institutional regulations, and policies; the ability to work with a diverse student population; intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint; experience with ED Connect, EDE Express, and PowerFAIDS software; excellent written/verbal communication skills, organizational skills, customer service skills, and problem solving skills.
